I think any of us who have done remote work (telemedicine) can identify (and laugh along with) the bottom down dilemma! Thanks for "seeing me."
Also found the links helpful, particularly the VA study and keeping up with vaccinations, will include that in next month's Covid wrap up. Have a good weekend if you can!
There’s really something to be said for cutting down on daily decisions like which pants and shoes to wear! Do you know Anne Kadet, who writes Cafe Anne, the delightful Substack about life in NYC? She wears the same exact thing every single day. She only changes things up by season. I can see the appeal, but I do enjoy variety!
Thank you, Victoria! It did go well, and I was offered a position, but I turned it down. It would have required more of me than I’m ready to give. But I have two more interviews today with agencies that allow for fewer hours. We’ll see! 🤞🏻
Congrats on being offered a position! I always tell my mentoring clients that nothing is fixed until they sign on the dotted line. I'm glad you're calibrating to your needs Good luck! xo Not sure if I've already shared this with you: https://flexa.careers/jobs/categories/us
I know 2 people who found jobs via this site in the UK. You'll see from the 'About us' page that one of the founders, Molly, was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease and wanted to pivot job searches: 'Molly and Maurice realised that there was absolutely nowhere to search for companies that guaranteed the workplace environment she needed.' https://flexa.careers/about-us
Amy!!! This is so exciting (except for the office pants and shoes situation)!!! I teared up reading this because you have come such a long way. They will be lucky to have you. I'm so happy you're feeling better, and I'm proud that you are taking it slow. When my sister was dealing with Long Covid, I would regularly have to remind her to rest aggressively (she is a busybody and loves to garden).
Whenever a writer I love to read enters a new life experience, I'm excited for the way they will capture it in their writing. 😍 So looking forward to all of this! 🫂❤️🔥
Thank you for reading and for always being so damn supportive. You’ve been here for a good long while too, so you’ve definitely seen how far I’ve come. It means so much to me to hear your words 🥹.
So glad to read this update, Amy, and hear about the next phase in your recovery and your career. I'm excited for your future clients and all the wisdom and help you can offer them — they will be lucky to have you. And thank you so much for the shoutout, too!
That is so kind of you to say, Brianne - thank you ☺️. I really loved that post of yours. Every time a woman fixes something manually, I feel like all of womankind advances ❤️🔥😂
This made me happier to read than I can express. I’m so glad that you’re continuing to move forward, even if it’s a pivot-forward movement. Those are often the most exciting moves! Thanks for continuing to share. As the hubby continues to be in a bad spot here, hearing this makes my heart soar and my hope rise a bit. Can’t wait to hear how everything goes!
Thank you Tricia! And I’m sorry he’s still struggling so much. If you or he ever want to chat about CFS Recovery, just let me know. It really changed a lot for me.
Amazing news about this job !!! Look forward to following your journey on that one. I plan to stay self employed for life if possible. I couldn’t go back to the corporate world here in the uk. It was a shit show when I left, it’s even worse now. I can feel my health go down hill at the mere prospect of it.
But your job and approach sound Bloomin’ marvellous - I’m so pleased for you 🤩
I initially worked as a mobile beauty therapist to work around illness and got an LED lamp instead of UV. That was 7 years ago - I’d hear uv was showing various health concerns. I invested in the ten free (chemical wise) polish (it was pricey).
Out of nowhere My health was important and I found the Health of my clients was too.
Thanks for the shout out and best of luck on your return to work journey!
Thanks Lauren!

I hope the second interview went well, Amy. The place sounds really good, empathetic and supportive. Sending best wishes and hugs.
