If you’re looking for excellent menopause information, The Menopause Manifesto by Jen Gunter is fantastic! I got ME/CFS while in perimenopause and am in surgical menopause now and wish this book had been published earlier.
Ooh, thanks for that! I’ll check it out. I’m currently reading Hot and Bothered by Jancee Dunn. It’s too soon to tell what I think about it, but I’ll post about it if I think it’s worthwhile.
Right? I first saw that video back when I was still working and just loved it. I love that she is so cute and girly, and says just what I have wanted to say so many times.
Totally random, but I was enjoying a nice hot chocolate and reading this and then BOOM you snuck in Shangela and I think I snorted a marshmallow, so... thank you?
Oh got to be “you can’t rush your healing” by Trevor hall. Got me through my last set of darkest days (the last time I experienced severe/agonising pain and wondered why I was still alive) nearly 2 years ago now.
“I just keep keep on believing” he sings - my beliefs around health have got me sooooo far💜 forever grateful 🙏🩵
So much yes to that! I wrote an insta post on this song/experience. Rereading it has shown me a few messages I really needed to hear after a migraine attack came out of nowhere on Friday:

I’ve heard good things about Hot and Bothered but haven’t read it myself!

Not sure if this will work - my anthem!
Ha! Perfect 😁 I never heard that before. I love how sweetly she sings the Fuck You parts 🤭

Ha ha brilliant - I added that to one of my playlists during my darkest times🤩

🤣🤣 I love surprising people. Also, is anyone more joyous than Shangie??
For real. HalleLOO!
This Year by Emily King gets me through and lifts me up.
So good! I just went down an Emily King rabbit hole. Thanks for that!

Such beautiful lyrics. Thank you! “But the more you push it, the more it’s pushing you back” - wow. Ain’t that the truth.
