Cat families unite!! 😂 thanks for the most special shoutout. The best part of Stacking is all the personal parts where we get to really connect. Love me a good calico fur ball.
That Matt character seems like a real asshole. I’ve only seen the clips Netflix uses to hold you hostage. I love edgy comedy but mean spirited is just a waste of time.
Also HUBERMAN LAB!!! This man is a gift from god. He single handedly made me a morning person. 🥹
Huberman is the whole package, right?? I love that he’s had more than one episode on female hormones. He’s so smart and makes science easy to understand.
How are the little furry babies adapting? Or should I ask, how are you guys adapting to THEM? 🤭
Oh man they are SO cute and SO wild!! I am very glad they have each other to play with because they need constant entertainment (unless napping of course). We have rearranged our lives a bit (including the furniture) but wouldn't change it for anything 😍
You’re a brave couple. We have a “no babies of any kind” policy in this household. Every kitty has to be at least one year old. Even Birdie, who was one when we got her last year, is obsessive about playing. It’s funny and cute but also 😵💫😴
If there weren't two of them to play together I would be going crazy so I see how this no babies policy is effective. Rizzie is currently chasing the words as I type this on my computer by smashing her paw on the monitor 😵
Thanks! I got the idea for the wishlist from the Substack Soirée course I took recently. They’re running another round of it that starts tomorrow.
I don’t think my baby grandniece took a test - I think she was holding up my nephew’s test (her dad). When I arrived for Thanksgiving, I said, “that pic is going in my newsletter!” 🤭
Thanks for all the info Amy! The article on how to tell if you have a cold, the flu or Covid was particularly helpful. I am so glad you got to spend Thanksgiving with your family!
So many fantastic things in this post, I will save it for later for a thorough reading. About the gut health: My gut was a mess prior to the ME/CFS diagnosis. I have celiac disease and have already been on a strict gluten-free diet for over 10 years. As I am a food coach myself, I taught myself a lot about gut health with regard to ME/CFS and started taking a pre/probiotic supplement (after having tried homemade joghurt, kombucha and what not). That supplement finally helped me, and now I can eat a lot more things like onions, lentils and even garlic. So yes, try to repair your gut!
I take the one from PROBION. I don't know where you are in the world, I bought it in Germany. It can take some time for the gut to get used to a pre/probiotic, as it sometimes makes big changes!
Julia and Heather, you might be interested in this webinar event Friday. They always try to sell you something at the end, but they give good info before the sales pitch (and you can always drop off when the pitch starts).
such useful information Amy! I like that you're asking about people's weekends in the comment section. I write quite independent humour essays and still haven't figured out how to properly engage people with comments in a way that doesn't seem forced...
Thank you, Rosana! My engagement efforts don’t always work, but sometimes. I think it’s best to ask a more specific question- like last week, I posted about a new-agey healing thing I tried, and I asked folks if they have ever done anything like that or if they would. That gets better engagement, I find. But I also think more people are reading my narrative posts than my roundup posts, so maybe that’s why there’s more engagement those weeks. Eh, who really knows?!

😹😹😹 enjoy the ride, my friend
I'm loving that your niece took a Covid test, that is adorable. And great idea about the amazon wishlist, good to see you have such a nice audience!

Amy--thank you! 😽
Also did you catch the New York Times piece (which includes a brief history of the HRT BS from the early Aughts): https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-daily/id1200361736?i=1000599198467
It’s a good gateway listen to the larger conversation for those whose eyes can’t do much screen time.
Awesome, Heather - I will add this to my listen list! 🤗

Thanks so much, Paula! I’m glad that one was helpful. So hard to tell what’s what these days.

Ooooh--which pre/probiotic is working for you? The last one I tried was so deeply unpleasant I dropped it like a hot rock. Now I’m curious...

I read his book "Eat for Energy" during the diagnosis of ME/CFS. It has several very good points and advices.
Boy, I'll feel so popular! I'm also going to the 11am Eastern Webinar tomorrow. ;)
