Typical Amy! Now the ideal situation for me, if I were ever to get those goblin transfusions (which I would never dream of doing after reading this account- other than the snack eating part) would be to have Amy be the day nurse!!! I wouldn't even try to convert her to Buddhism!
But as I think about it, what if Amy tried to eat MY snacks!?! (and she might be just the type to do so!) After all my wife does so all too often. I look away and my chairside snack bowl is empty and there is a quickly disappearing shape lifting food to its mouth
Helloooo, my fellow 2020 alum! Amy is in no way cut out to be a nurse. Her sister is one, and the stories alone are enough to send her running for the hills! (well, slow walking as briskly as possible, lol). And your snacks are probably safe! Amy is a picky snacker 😆
I adore your writing - you bring such a welcome light touch and warmth to our intense, difficult. experiences. A real treat among the many tricks we encounter!
Thanks so much, JD! That means a lot to me coming from you (you were a panelist on one of the first webinars I ever watched about being chronically ill - or maybe it was a podcast, not quite remembering - but I was inspired by your activism, especially in light of your symptoms).
Wow, this was a ride. I think your friend is right - the fact that Arnold was willing to mask up is a huge benefit. As a fellow atheist, though, I can see how being questioned about your beliefs can be tough. I look forward to reading more!
Thank you, Mary! So you get it. I’m used to dealing with weird out in the world, but it’s a little unmooring to have it in one’s own home. And, curious about your infusions. Did they not help you?

Well I'm not! If it's sweet, or salty, or crunchy, I gobble it right down. Luckily of late my weight keeps dropping even as I try to keep it stable!

Hello, my fellow heathen! 😈. Thanks for reading.
This was amazing to read! I used to get in-home NAD infusions for my long COVID and it was wild how bizarre some of the nurses were.
Good luck with your treatments and I look forward to reading more ❤️🔥
